The Texas Secretary of State (SOS) has launched an SOS Notary Portal, a new online application system designed to streamline the notary application and management process. This modernization effort makes it easier for Texas notaries to submit applications, renew commissions, update their information, and conduct business with the state—all from a secure online platform.
What is the SOS Notary Portal?
The SOS Notary Portal is an online system that provides a central hub for notary-related services in Texas. Whether you are a new applicant or an existing notary looking to renew, the portal simplifies the process by offering digital submissions and real-time tracking.
Key Features of the SOS Notary Portal:

Check Submission Status: Easily track your notary application or renewal progress.
Update Name and Address: Make updates to your notary profile as needed.
Pay Fees Online: Conveniently pay application and renewal fees electronically.
